Hey, happy anniversary!!!
As you can see, I looked up your blog and it's been fun getting to know your family a little better. :-)
Nice bonsai. Looks (from 3500 miles away, at least) like a Chinese elm -- is it? They're really adaptable to different environments, but once they get used to indoors, it takes them awhile to switch to outdoors, and vice versa. So you never know with a new one what it's used to, but it'll forgive you if you guess wrong. ;-)
About what to call it, well, it looks like Moyogi style bonsai- maybe that'll give you some inspiration.
Be good, and don't kill it. :-Þ

What a nice surprise! I think I am going to call it Moyogi, whatever that means!
I am going to do my best to keep Miyogi alive. I'm going to talk to him and I think a need a book about bonsai.
I'll keep you posted.

There you go -- Moyogi the Beautiful Bonsai Bush. (OK, tree, but that didn't start with a B.)
Moyogi is the informal upright bonsai style (literally "patterned tree". Wow, I KNEW there was some reason I studied Japanese.... Thank goodness I've finally found it!)
